"Tom
has met some great musicians and
producers during his broadcasting and music careers, including
Dizzy Gillespie, Gerald Albright, Bobby Lyle, Dionne Warwick,
Victor and Roy Wooten, Kirk Whalum, Earl, Klugh, Aaron Neville,
Kenny Edmonds AKA Baby Face, Chieli Minucci, Gino Vanelli,
Tito Puente, Nestore Torres, Teddy Riley, and Peter
Erskine.
""I actually jammed with Peter Erskine in Pittsburgh during the 1980's. The great drummer just
walked into the club, sat down, and started playing. What a
night!"
Randles says he'll
never forget the time his band performed in Indianapolis for
several weeks. "We met a young man who played rhythm guitar and
sang background vocals for a group called "Manchild". He left
that group and went on to become a household name, "Babyface".
Not bad for a guy who wasn't even the front man for the band." Tom Randles took guitar and voice
lessons as a child. He is also a self-taught musician, who plays
more than half a dozen instruments. He records his original songs
(live) one track at a time, in his own studio. Tom recorded his
new CD in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
Tom is also a proud member of WAMA, (Washington Area Music Association) and loves to
promote jazz music.
